Peak Form: A Short Form Class

Hosted by Jutta Tilvis

Date and time: Mon 2 March | 18:00 - 20:30 PM

Location: Johanneksen koulutalo
(Postikatu 2, 33100 Tampere)

Course Description:

Every Monday we dive into a new style of short-form improv games. We explore the styles, break them apart and discover what makes them work on stage for us. Week by week, your toolbox grows.

Some of the game styles we’ll dive into are classic scene games, including favorites like Blind Line, as well as high‑energy gimmick games such as Dubbing, and audience‑powered guessing games like Party Quirks. At the end of the six weeks, we take all of our favourite games (there will be a vote!) and shape them into one energetic show performed live on stage.

If you want to build your performance skills, strengthen your stage presence, and have a great time doing it, this course is for you. Reserve your spot and get ready for six weeks of laughter and unforgettable short form games!

The Harold: A Long Form Class

Hosted by Trent Pancy

Date and time: Wed 11 March | 18:00 - 20:30 PM

Location: Johanneksen koulutalo
(Postikatu 2, 33100 Tampere)

Course Description:

Every Wednesday, we step into the world of long-form improv by exploring The Harold - one of the most iconic and powerful structures in improvised theatre. Together, we’ll break down its elements, practice each component, and learn how to create rich, connected scenes that build a full world from a single suggestion.

Over eight weeks, you’ll develop your skills in group mind, character creation, thematic exploration, and ensemble storytelling. We’ll focus on listening deeply, making bold choices, and trusting the process that allows a Harold to unfold naturally and confidently on stage.

By the end of the course, we’ll bring everything together into a fully improvised Harold performance, presented live for an audience by those that want to perform. If you’re ready to strengthen your long-form technique, sharpen your instincts, and experience the thrill of collaborative storytelling, this course is for you.
